Wall Tapestries

From a set of tapestries called the Royale Residences made at the Gobelins for King Louis XIV towards the end of 17th century. They were designed by Charles Le Brun a prominent painter and designer of the late 17th century. Le Bruns work was admired by many, especially King Louis XIV, who eventually made him the First Painter to the King.
