Verdure Audenarde is a jacquard wall tapestry woven in France using the Gobelins stitch. Influenced by the medieval Mille-fleurs style as well as the 16th century Aristolochia style. Verdure tapestries appeared in Flanders, Brussels, and Audenarde in the early 17th century. Verdure genre tapestries could be compared to landscape-painting, and are noted for having intricately detailed plant life and foliage.
